BLACK FRIDAY WITH BOOHOO

Hey Lovelies,

So this week is all about Black Friday, the crazy time which gives everyone the opportunity to snap up a bargain or even do the majority of their Christmas shopping in one day! To celebrate Black Friday, I was contacted by Boohoo and asked to put together an all black outfit, which suited me down to the ground. I love wearing black and think no matter how casual the outfit is, it still finds a way of making you looking chic, smart and stylish.

For the outfit I wanted to go for something which I would usually wear everyday. For me I feel most comfortable wearing a nice pair of jeans and a top - these Boohoo super skinny ripped jeans are such a reasonable price at £15.00, I was so impressed as I normally pay at least double that for jeans. I decided to match the ripped jeans with a casual lace up long sleeve top and a pair of heeled peep toe ankle boots- just to give me a little bit of extra height! Of course with the colder weather now here I have added my everyday coat which I manage to pick up in Primark recently - no doubt you've seen it around. You can shop the look for yourself below...

Coat: Primark
Top: Boohoo
Jeans: Boohoo
Shoes: Boohoo

I also just want to say a big thank you to my photographer Kathryn for helping me with this post.

What will you be buying on Black Friday?

Lots of Love

THREADS & BEAUTY!

Hey Guys!

Hope you're all well... I am going to warn you just before I get started on this post that it has actually turned into an overload of photos off myself - sorry I know.. haha but the reason being is I thought It would be the best way to show what each pair of these gorgeous lashes from Threads & Beauty really look like!

So, I was contacted recently by Nicol PR, who told me all about an exciting new beauty launch for the brand Threads & Beauty. This was a brand I hadn't actually heard of before so was very keen to give the products a try...

I have to admit I don't usually use an eyebrow pencil, instead I normally go for an eyebrow shadow palette and brush. So this was something different for me to try and I really loved how simple this makes doing my eyebrows - especially with the handy brush at the end of the pencil! I have found that by doing my eyebrows with this pencil has given me extra precision, whilst saving time in the mornings!

When it came to trying the lashes, I was really impressed - great quality and really easy to apply. Each set comes with application instructions on the box and their own adhesive glue. When applying, I trimmed down my lashes very slightly, applied the glue to the lash strip, waited around 30 seconds and then popped them on using my fingers. I know some people find it so much easier with tweezers but normally will use them afterwards just to push the lashes closer to my natural lash line.

The pair above, the 'Charleston' Lashes are probably my favourite of them all as they are so natural and comfortable, you can't even tell I'm wearing false lashes. I feel I could even get away with these everyday just to give my lashes more volume.

Both the 'Emiloo' and 'Angel Eyes' lashes are more what I look to wear on a night out or to a big event etc. I was so surprised with the Angel Eye's pair as I did think they may look a bit too much on me, however I really love the look of them and will definitely be saving these for a night out soon.

As you can also see the lash adhesive glue actually comes out as a bright blue colour - with other eyelashes I have ended up in such a mess doing this but with these lashes the glue goes onto the strip so easily with no fuss. Once stuck into place these lashes won't budge anytime soon, which is great as that is one of my main worries with false eyelashes - the risk that one could just fly off with a gust of wind! I would advise though, using make up remover / wipes to help ease them off after you've finished wearing them.

Overall, I have loved all of the products I have tried from Threads & Beauty and I'm sure you'll soon see many more Selfie's of me wearing the lashes on my social media! If you want to give these a try for yourself then Threads & Beauty products are now available from Harvey Nichols. You can also find more information on their website below!

BYRON BAY COOKIES

Hi Guys,

Can't believe we're now in October, time goes by way too quickly and I feel as if I really haven't been doing enough blogging lately. I'm back at Uni now for my final year and with my dissertation due in January the pressure is already starting to build up. That said, I think it's still important to have some me time - even just the simple things like a nice hot drink and a biscuit. I love anything sweet so when I got the chance to try these gluten free, Byron Bay Cookies, I was instantly addicted!

These chocolate flavour cookies are a tasty little treat for all of the family. Byron the Bear biscuits are a great idea for kids lunch boxes too.

I have to admit however, out of the two boxes these were definitely my favourite. I love the mix of flavours with strawberry, clotted cream and white chocolate chunks - these flavours really complement each other within the cookie.

If you've got a sweet tooth like me and looking to give something new a try then I definitely recommend grabbing yourself a box of these Byron Bay Cookies. You can read all about their full range here >> http://www.byronbaycookies.co.uk

DINNER AT BALANS SOHO SOCIETY

Hey Guys,

So after having had very little sunshine and for me, no holidays away it's hard to believe that summer is over and September has arrived. However, September for me brings new challenges including the start of my final year at university, something I'm very excited about. September also means 'fashion', with so much focus on the industry worldwide, I find it's a really exciting time, not to mention it gives me the perfect opportunity to add some new pieces to the wardrobe for autumn / winter.

As you may already know, September also includes one of my all time favourite events, Bloggers London Fashion Week! So when I was asked by the lovely Danielle if I wanted to attend a Pre Party meal at Balans Soho Society the evening before the event I jumped at the opportunity...
I knew this would be the perfect time to sit down and really get to know some new bloggers and what better way than in a lovely restaurant along High Street Kensington. I have to admit I felt slightly nervous before attending, it's a strange concept when you think about it, technically I was going for dinner somewhere completely new and with people I'd never met before.

However, when I arrived to a table of smiling faces, it reminded me of why I love being part of the blogging community so much... everyone is always so welcoming and supportive of one another, even when you've only just met for the first time. We started off with drinks, which was a tough decision from such a tempting list of cocktails, mocktails and wines. With a table of indecisive ladies we called upon our lovely waiter, David J, to ask what he recommended - therefore resulting in 3 of us choosing the Porn Star Martini.

I had to get a picture of Danielle's drink too, a strawberry mocktail which looked very tasty! Deciding on a main course was just as difficult as deciding on a drink. Stuck between the Red Curry, Sausage and Mash or Roast Beef ( A Sunday Special), David again kindly took his time to recommend each of us of the best dish. In the end I decided on the roast beef, especially as it was Sunday and quite possibly one of my favourite meals. Honestly, my meal was perfection, everything was so full of flavour.

Pudding is definitely my favourite thing, I have such a sweet tooth. Again there was so much choice but I decided on another favourite of mine, banoffee pie, and oh my this was the biggest piece I think i've ever had! It was delicious, complete with a piece of white chocolate on the top, toffee sauce and strawberries.. truly amazing!

Thinking over this meal again is literally making my mouth water, I will definitely be going back again very soon, hopefully to reunite with the lovely ladies I met that evening! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, an evening filled with fabulous food and brilliant blogger company.

Be sure to visit http://www.balans.co.uk to see the full menu.

I have also included below the links to all the other ladies blogs so you can also read their thoughts on the evening...

I would just like to finish this post by saying a huge thank you to 'Balans Soho Society'(especially our waiter David J) for giving us such a fabulous experience and also to Danielle who works so hard to make these exciting events happen.

Lots of Love

OUTFIT IDEA FOR #BLFW

Hey Guys!

Today's post is in preparation of the fast approaching Blogger's Fashion Week! If you didn't already know, Blogger's Fashion Week is an exciting event held in central London where bloggers have the opportunity to meet a whole variety of brands as well as enjoying cupcakes, treats and catwalk shows. I find it a really great opportunity to network with both brands and other bloggers and this year I have been lucky enough to be chosen as a VIB (Very Important Blogger)!

ONE TIP: Bring your business cards, if you have some!

So, here I have put together an outfit, as an idea for what I might wear to Blogger's Fashion Week! As you may already know I tend to wear a lot of black and white so for me, a little black dress and heels is the perfect combo for an event.

The dress is a suede style lace up shift from Mango at £39.99 and is also available in tan - which I love but just didn't think it would look right on me.

The black heels are from New Look at £27.99. These are very high which I love as I'm quite short and also these are really comfy considering the height of the heel.

My handbag is from Kurt Geiger at £220.00 - this is something I use everyday and love! This is available in all different colours and I want everyone of them but having it in grey I find matches to almost everything.

Lastly i've added a pop of colour with my red tassel necklace which was from Topshop. This can no longer be found on the website but I recommend going into a store to pick out jewellery anyway as they always have some great offers in the sale etc...

My make up will depend on how it goes on the day haha and how much patience I have with my eyeliner. I often use the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette on my eyes. At the moment I am using the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in shade 115. If anyone is interested in seeing how I do my full make up look then do let me know and I will put together a YouTube video.

Lastly - I decided to include these new gorgeous flats in this post - because sometimes if your walking around London on your feet all day you're going to need a pair of flats. I literally just picked these up at the weekend from Office and they were in the sale at £35.00 - there so comfy too!

I hope you've enjoyed today's post, I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone at the event! Let me know if you're going to be there and I'll try and look out for you.

What outfit will you be wearing?

Lots of Love

BEACH BAG ESSENTIALS | BOOHOO

Hey Guys!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer, I can't even begin to describe how jealous I am of everyone whose already been on holiday. I'm hoping too book something last minute very soon just to go and find the sunshine for a week!

Anyway today's post is all about beach bag essentials featuring one of my favourite online fashion brands, Boohoo! I was so excited when Boohoo contacted me and asked me to pick a couple of favourites from their summer shop, although this made me realise I actually wanted the entire website at the time! Picking my favourite items was hard as Boohoo have so much to choose from. In the end I decided to go for some bright and colourful items for the beach as I often find myself turning to black and white clothing most days...

So here are just a few things which I would normally include in my beach bag. Suncream is an obvious one for me as I have fairly pale skin and tend to burn really easy. When i'm away in really hot weather I often start off by using a factor 20, which is why i've chosen the 'Nivea Protect and Bronze.'
Another sun cream I really like a the moment is the 'Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration' - it's really moisturising and leaves my skin with a  nice shine whilst protecting from the sun.

Also in my beach bag are the essentials such as sunnies and a hair tie, something that definitely came in handy when shooting this post as the weather was so windy down at the seafront. Both of these, which are photographed above are from Boohoo. Another essential, obviously would be a beach towel, this one I found in Primark and was just £4.60 - Bargain!

Another thing I often keep with me is a spray, just to keep you feeling and smelling fresh. I wouldn't ever take one of my more expensive perfumes to the beach so this bottle of 'Mist You Madly' by 'Soap & Glory' is the perfect beach bag spray. It's just £6.50, so I wouldn't be too worried if this went missing whilst at the beach.

Lastly, in my beach bag I would often carry a hair brush. This is a new favourite of mine - it's a 'Lee Stafford Argan Oil Paddle Brush'- this brush is infused with Argan Oil so it leaves your hair feeling conditioned and with a healthy shine!

For beachwear I chose these really cute pom pom shorts as I thought they would be perfect for just wearing around the pool or at the beach. They're super comfy and will go with most things too. Boohoo also do these in a whole different variety of colours and styles so I may have to treat myself to some more of these!

My swimsuit is also from Boohoo, I loved this style as it covers up a bit more of my 'less toned' areas - leaving me feeling body confident on the beach! This is on the website at only £18.00 and also comes in a variety of colours including a gorgeous mint green! The links are all below.

I'd love to know what are your beach bag essentials?

Hope you've enjoyed this post!

Lots of Love
